SSM HR Services SRL is an international recruitment agency that works exclusively with companies. Since 2020, we have recruited more than 1,000 people for companies in Romania that could no longer find staff on the local market. We are part of SSM Holding, and our office is in Bucharest, at Str. Păstorului 48-50, Sector 2.

What we do
We find, select and bring to Romania workers who are hired directly by your company. We recruit both skilled and unskilled staff from 9 countries: Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Cuba, India, Bangladesh, Egypt, Nigeria and Ghana.
We work mainly for the industries where staff shortages are felt most strongly:
- construction - general laborers, tradespeople, welders;
- manufacturing - operators, packers, production line staff;
- hospitality (HoReCa), logistics and agriculture;
- other sectors where positions stay vacant for months.
How we work
Our process has five stages, and at each of them you know exactly what is happening and what comes next.
- Selection. We start from the requirements of your position: tasks, schedule, conditions, experience level. We organize interviews in the country of origin, which you can attend, verify the stated experience and, where the role requires it, run practical tests.
- Work permit. Together with you, we prepare the file for the work permit (aviz de muncă), which the employer obtains from the General Inspectorate for Immigration (IGI).
- Visa. Once the work permit is granted, the candidate applies for the long-stay visa for employment at the Romanian embassy or consulate.
- Arrival. We coordinate the arrival in Romania and the steps that follow, including obtaining the single residence and work permit (permis unic).
- Onboarding. We stay by your side and the workers' side during the first months, so that adapting to the job and the team goes well.
The total timeline depends on the country: from 3-5 months for Cuba to 10-12 months for Pakistan. We give you a realistic timeline from the start, not an optimistic one.

- Clear costs. Recruitment starts from €500 / person. Paperwork is priced separately, and prices do not include VAT. You receive a written quote before we start.

What working with us looks like, step by step
- The initial conversation. You tell us what positions you have, how many people you need, by when and under what conditions they will work.
- The recommendation. We suggest one or two countries that fit your deadline and type of position, with the estimated timeline for each.
- The written quote. You receive the recruitment cost, the list of required documents and a stage-by-stage timeline.
- The selection. We present the candidates who have passed the interview and checks, and the final decision is yours.
- Tracking the file. We keep you updated at every stage, until the people arrive and beyond.
The process is the same whether you need a few people or an entire team. Only the volume of the selection and the timeline change.
Recruitment or staff leasing
Not every company wants to become the direct employer of foreign workers. For situations where you prefer someone else to handle contracts, payroll, housing and transport, SSM Holding also includes SSM Global Workforce, a licensed temporary work agency. With staff leasing, you get the people on site, while the administrative side stays with them. We explain the differences and help you choose the right option.
